A full blown Electronic Marketing Major, this isn't a certificate or a concentration, it's what your degree will say. WMU's E-Business Marketing Major requires 24 credit hours of major specific courses. There are two concentrations you can choose to pursue in this E-Business degree, and they are either an Information Systems track or a Marketing track.
The Information systems track focuses much more on aspects of computer programming and different applications used on the computer while the Marketing track deal more specifically marketing on the internet. Western Michigan states that this major prepares "students for careers in fields such as e-commerce, digital marketing, social media, and web application development and services." No matter which track you select you will be required to take at least one Internet Marketing course. After reading summaries of the offered Internet Marketing courses, they seem as though they do a great job of teaching about different methods of advertising and marketing on the internet for a company.
